Schools

We offer 3 highly relevant sessions covering a broad range of topical matters. Content for sessions can be tailored by the school to what is most relevant to their community. All can be provided at these age appropriate levels, school years: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12. Sessions can be given to an entire year level however we find the most effective size is less than 50 and can also be gender specific.

Marketplace

Being a successful in your career is one thing, being successful in your family life is another. Effectiveness as a staff member professionally can sometimes be a reflection of how things are at the ‘home front’ and in the ‘office’. The following workshops will provide your staff helpful advice on getting the balance right, avoiding destructive patterns and creating healthier relationships with their colleagues and those closest to them. Research has shown that the health and well-being of your staff at home will have a direct correlation on productivity, engagement and enjoyment in the workplace.

Topics include:
Work life balance
Healthy conflict
Understanding the “generations”
Time management – “getting things done”
Parenting – building resilience and boundaries, talking to your kids about drugs, alcohol and sex
Relationships – effective communication and healthy relationships

Church and Local Community

We believe that one of the roles that Focus on the Family Australia can provide is to be a conduit between the community and the church. As you would be aware many of the challenges facing people in your community are very similar to those inside the ‘four walls’ of your church; we all need help is our relationships and parenting.

Focus is well known for our radio broadcasts and family minutes but we have also been specializing in training and resourcing on marriage and parenting for over 22 years. Our presentations and resources include helpful advice on strengthening marriages and how to be more intentional as a parent.

All presentations are interactive and researched base. They can tailored to both a community and faith based audience.

Parenting Today
Children face enormous pressures and must make critical choices in their life. Research shows that parents that are well informed and involved with their children are more likely to give kids a better chance to a healthier life.

Keeping the Spark Alive
Whenever there are people in relationships conflict is inevitable. All relationships require effort and intentionality.
This presentation is for all married couples (or soon to be) and will address many of the challenges couples face. Participants will gain helpful advice and learn how to avoid some of the common pitfalls.

Healthy “Next” generation
We also welcome opportunities to speak to youth, young adults and schools on a variety of topics. Young people are faced with enormous pressures and misinformation. They have lots of voices competing for their attention and often contrary to Christian values. Our presentations are not only engaging, age appropriate and relevant but all provide a sound Biblical worldview.

Community Centre and Local Council

As you would be aware many of the challenges facing people in your community are in their relationships and parenting. Focus has been specializing in training and resourcing on relationships and parenting for many years. For example Our Drug Proof Your Kids Seminars have been presented to well over 50000 people throughout Australia over the last 15 years.
